The subject of this year's convocation will be preaching and politics, falling as it does, on the heels of the country's presidential election. Our keynote speaker, Rev. Dr. Charlie Stallworth is well versed in the topic, serving as senior pastor at East End Baptist Tabernacle Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut and for twelve years in the Connecticut House of Representatives, presently serving as an elected official in Bridgeport, CT. He also serves as a Public Policy Fellow and teaches graduate courses in public policy and administration at Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT, and teaches in the Black Church Ministries Program at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace, Hartford, CT.
